Course Description

Home inspections are being used in a manner they were never intended to be used for resulting in considerable tension between buyers, sellers and agents involved in the transaction. According to NAR, home inspections are the third largest reason for contracts not closing! In this course we will discuss the purpose of home inspections, which items are typically inspected and which items are not typically included in a home inspection. We further discuss the differences between home inspectors, building inspectors and contractors and determine which one is needed for specific situations. Finally, we will determine what should be a concern to home buyers and the items that should not be a concern to the home buyer.
