The Home Valuation Code of Conduct (HVCC), which goes into effect May 1, 2009, is a new set of guidelines that will change the way you do business with appraisers. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will not accept loans on or after May 1, 2009 that don't adhere to the HVCC.
