South Carolina Real Estate Appraisal

The first phase in the appraisal licensing process requires one to be an
apprentice for 24 months and the second phase will include requirements
of becoming a licensed appraiser. A total of 150 hours of classroom
time is required. At the Real Estate School for Success, our courses will
satisfy all requirements for the apprentice level license and the regular
license level. Should you desire to later upgrade to Certified Residential,
an additional 200 hours of classroom training will be required as well as an
Associate’s Degree or at least 21 hours of specific college course work.
The college coursework must be in: English Composition, Principles of
Economics, Finance, Algebra/Geometry/or higher mathematics, Statistics,
Introduction to Computers, Word Processing/Spreadsheets and Business or Real
Estate Law.
Should you desire a upgrade to Certified General Appraiser, an additional
300 hours of classroom training will be required as well as a Bachelor's
Degree or at least 30 hours of the following college coursework: English
Composition, Principles of Economics (Micro or Macro), Finance,
Algebra/Geometry/or Higher Mathematics, Statistics, Introduction to
Computers, Word Processing/Spreadsheets and Business or Real Estate Law, Two
Electives in Accounting, Geography, Agricultural Economics, Business
Management or Real Estate.
PHASE 1 - Apprenticeship Package
Complete the first three courses (QE-1, QE-2, QE-3) and you will be able to
start your apprenticeship! HP-12C calculator recommended.
