Preparing your Home For Sale

There are many things that must be completed before a home seller should put their home on the market.  As I have said many times before, sellers need to have a home inspection conducted by a certified residential home inspector.  Many sellers hesitate to have a home inspection for fear of what they may discover.  Bad news does not get better with time.  We must know the condition of the home before we begin negotiating the purchase with a buyer.  When selling a home in a buyers market, the buyer will often times win by getting the seller to sale their home at the lowest possible price.  Once the terms of the contract of sale have been agreed to, there is no more room for negotiations after a buyers home inspector finds material defects with the property.  It is critical for home sellers to put themselves in the best possible position before the home buyer comes with an offer to purchase.  Make sure you select a very experienced and licensed home inspector, such as David Dubose, with Dubose Home Inspections.
