Insurance Licensing Guide
- Take the 40 hour Pre-Licensing Course
at the Real Estate School For Success. (The cost of the course is
$305.00)
- Pass the course exam and receive your
Certificate of Completion
- Pass the State Exam given by the
Prometric testing center located in our building. (Register for the test by
clicking on the following link: www.prometric.com/southcarolina) (The cost of this test is $51.00.
)
- Contact the South Carolina Law
Enforcement Division (www.sled.sc.gov) for a criminal background check. (The cost of the background
check is $25.00.)
- Your last and final step is to apply
with the Department of Insurance and pay for your license. (The application
fee is $20)
- Now you can celebrate because you are
a licensed Insurance Agent.
Life and Health Agent
This is a 40 hour Pre-Licensing course
required to become licensed to sell Life and Health Insurance. This course is
approved by the South Carolina Department of Insurance. You will be provided
with the information you need to pass the South Carolina State Examination.
Our Instructors are approved by the South
Carolina Department of Insurance. Our instructors are practicing agents and have
real life on the job experiences to share with you.
Upon completion of this 40 hour
Pre-Licensing course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion required to
submit your application to take the South Carolina Examination.
Property and
Casualty Agent
This is a 40 hour Pre-Licensing course
required to become licensed to sell Property and Casualty Insurance. This course
is approved by the South Carolina Department of Insurance. You will be provided
with the information you need to pass the South Carolina State Examination.
